Ghana Investment Support Programme

Event Type

RoundTable Discussion

Project

British International Investment (BII) is the UK’s development finance institution. They have been at the forefront of supporting companies that help developing and emerging countries grow, for the last 70 years. Ghana Investment Support Programme (GHISP) is a BII-funded technical assistance initiative that was launched to help increase investment flows to underserved SMEs in Ghana.

GhISP, in partnership with Ghana Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (GVCA) and Open Capital, hosted an SME and gender lens investment training and investor roundtable discussion. The objective of the event was to raise awareness on the challenges SMEs face to access finance, discuss potential interventions and pathways to drive more capital towards these underserved segments, and provide a platform for targeted matchmaking, connecting selected businesses with capital providers.
